St. Catherine of Alexandria

January 8, 2026We had the afternoon open after spending the morning touring Waimea Canyon. We had a couple reasons why we wanted to visit Kapaa. One was to pay pilgrimage to St. Catherine church and the other was to see if the wonderful family who runs Corral Reef resort still has homemade banana bread for their guests and, we were hoping, for past guests also.
St. Catherine is a beautiful church on the hill where the smell of the ocean air is refreshing, but is sometimes mingled with diesel fumes from passing pick up trucks.
